Tania Jacobi, born in Hamburg/ Germany, studied art in Belgium, Spain and New York. She lived as a freelance artist in Mexico City and was many years part of the Los Angeles downtown artist
After fifteen years abroad Tania Jacobi returned to her homeland Germany in 2004 and is since living and working in the art-metropolis Berlin.
The main focus of Jacobi's work is the human being. In large-sized oil paintings as well as in expressionistic drawings she dicovers the hhidden and the enigmatic wihtin us.
She was commissioned to portrait among others Hans-Dietrich Genscher (former German foreign minister), Wolfgang Schäuble (German finance minister), Sigmar Gabriel (German Vice-Chancellor), Frank
A. Meyer (Swiss Publicist) and Germans first Green Prime Minister Winfried Kretschmann.
Her work has been shown in many group- and solo-shows and museums in Germany, Mexico, New York and Los Angeles.
